This shows the landward end of the Nathon ferry dock. There was a festival on the street near the dock where food and drink stalls provided sustenance to crowds of locals who came to watch music and other entertainment for several nights. We were far enough away to sleep relatively well through the noise. The Marine Police had a large office in the building with the blue roof, but when Jerry inquired there about checking-in they simply pointed to the information booth nearby. Checking-in and checking-out in Nathon was limited to getting passports stamped at the Immigration office 2km south of town. |
